Welcome to my personal online portfolio. My name is Jeffrey Atherton and I am a freelance graphic and web designer. The name of my studio, Max Height, comes from the fact that I am 6'6" tall (get it? maximum height? sigh). I specialize in designing websites, as well as web & print graphics. My mission is to design beautifully expressive web sites which are functional and user friendly at an affordable price.
Why are my web sites a fraction of the cost of similar quality sites?
I don't have an expensive office which YOU have to pay for. I don't have a huge (or even a small) design staff whose salary YOU pay. I do have a handful of graphic artists and technicians to whom I sometimes contract out project components. 90% of the work, however, is done by ME. That is how I am able to deliver a professional quality web site with such a low price tag. I've been designing websites for businesses and individuals since 1998. I stay on top of the latest web design trends and I am an expert at working with the entire Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Illustrator). I am also very experienced in search engine optimization, to get your web site at the top of search engine queries.

A NEW Pricing Paradigm!!
The first step in pricing your web site will be a discussion about your needs. I will ask you several questions which will help me calculate an estimate and timeline. I require a $200 deposit to begin work on your web site. As the work progresses you will be able to see the development on the private test server, which only you and I will have access to. You will be as much a part of the creation process as you desire. If new directions and/or additions to the project alter the original estimate, you will be informed. There will be no "SURPRISES" with your final invoice.
Once the web site is completed to YOUR SATISFACTION, we will negotiate a price based on 3 factors:
- The most recent estimate.
- Your satisfaction with every component of the process.
- The average price of similar quality web sites on the internet (your price will always be below this).
